Scareware

I’m stunned at how much this stuff has been affecting people lately. In the last few weeks I’ve run across several instances where malicious software disguised as anti-virus or anti-malware software is actually the software that is causing the problem. Planting trojans, making weird, questionable connections to the ‘net and throwing up fake messages about how your system is suddenly infected with thousands of virii, trojans and spyware files all of a sudden.

Oh, and they’re a pain to fully remove too.  I don’t understand how people can write such garbage for the sake of making a few bucks.

I hope you never have to deal with that stuff. Honestly.
